THE SCHOOL OF ART & DESIGN
Welcome to the new School of Art & Design at High Point University. We are excited to announce this new school, which merges our departments of art, graphic design, home furnishings and interior design into one cohesive and interdisciplinary unit.
The Art department offers three foundational courses of study: Studio Art, Art Education and Graphic Design, all of which are springboards to graduate study programs or entry-level careers. Our CIDA accredited Interior Design program offers the rigorous and experiential Interior Design major, while the Home Furnishings program offers its own major in Home Furnishings - a unique course of study that centers on High Point's integral connections in the furniture industry. Recently our interior design program was ranked as one of the top 10 undergraduate design programs in the country by DesignIntelligence journal.
With experienced and dynamic faculty members along with state of the art computer labs, studios and galleries, students gain pragmatic insight into all realms of art and design. We also give all students the opportunities to explore their creativity and their artistic ideas in a wide range of classes including:

- Art History
- Ceramics
- Painting
- Drawing
